A creamy Dijon mustard sauce over chicken breasts. Serve with long grain brown rice for a delicious satisfying meal.

Juicy chicken breast are covered in a yogurt, Dijon mustard creamy sauce and then baked to perfection. Serve chicken over rice and spoon sauce on top; delicious.

Mustard Chicken

This is one of my favourite chicken dishes. It take 5 minutes to prepare and then bakes in the oven for 45 minutes. What comes out is a creamy delicious Dijon mustard yogurt cheese sauce that is so amazingly tasty that you’re going to want more of just the sauce! Serve with brown rice and spoon some of extra yummy sauce over top. I always make sure to have lots of the sauce because I know my family will want seconds. And me too!! 🙂

For this dish, I cook the breasts whole but then cut the chicken into bite sized pieces before serving to the family. This way I can stretch the chicken to serve 6 people. If you prefer, you can leave the chicken breasts whole and serve one breast per person. 

Preheat over to 375F.

In a medium bowl combine all ingredients except chicken. Stir well.

Place chicken in a casserole dish with a lid. Pour the mustard sauce over the chicken.

Cover with a lid. Bake for 45 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink inside. Uncover and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired and broil for 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving with brown rice.

Ingredients
  1. 4 chicken breast, see note: whole or cut into bite sized pieces
  2. 1 cup plain yogurt
  3. 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  4. 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  5. 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  6. 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, plus 1 tbsp extra
  7. Salt and pepper
