Irish whiskey with cream and sugar blended with a hint of coffee, chocolate and almond extract.
This drink tastes so good! You may have to have the recipes on hand to give to your guests for them to take home!
The original recipe from allrecipes.com calls for 1 2/3 cup of Irish whiskey which is A LOT! If you want to be drunk on just one glass then add the full amount, I wanted to enjoy more than one glass so I used 1/2 of a cup. I also used Jamison whiskey in this recipe but I am sure if you have a favourite it will be just as good.
You can use a blender to combine the ingredients or try combining in a container and just shaking to mix all ingredients completely. Note: this recipe will be very thick and is best served after being refrigerated overnight.
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 can (14 - 16 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup Irish whiskey
- 2 tbsp Chocolate Royal by Marie Brizard
- 1 tsp instant coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- Combine all ingredients in a blender. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator. Shake well before serving.
- This is a thick Irish cream, a lot thicker than a store bought Baileys.
